Example:

We use many with countable nouns in negative and interrogative sentences.

Example:

We don’t need many eggs for this pie.

Do we need many eggs for this pie?

A lot of/Lots of

We use a lot of/ lots of with countable and uncountable nouns in positive sentences.

Example:

We need a lot of time to organize the party.

There are lots of people at the party.
